Deal or no deal!

So I don't normally enjoy game shows, but this deal or no deal on NBC is catchy. I find myself thinking "Don't choose that number!"

They play the game differently now than when it first started. You used to open less cases and the game would go slower, now it's something like 6, 6, 3, 3, 2, 2, 1!

No deal!

The obedient child...

I never considered my computer like an obedient child, but that is exactly what it is. You tell the computer exactly what to do, and it will do it. If you are not absolutely clear, it will do things you don't expect it to do. You think things are working the way you expect them to, but then you find that you're instructions are a little vague and then they are intrepeted in a way you didn't see coming.

So you revise and revise and you think that you've got your obedient child trained, but you just realized that your obedient child has been training you. :)

Black round coffee table

I don't understand why this is such a difficult item to find at a decent price. You can find plenty of coffee tables, plenty of round coffee tables, but no round black coffee tables for a reasonable price. Pottery Barn has one for $380 plus $70 for shipping off there website. We wanted to spend around $200 for it, but no more than $300.

So we called some of the naked furniture store so we could get a round table cheap and we could just finish the wood ourselves, but no place had a round table. We probably need to keep looking but I'm at my wits' end and we've been waiting for for the right table for a few months.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Travelling 1

So my wife and I are planning to take a trip next month. We live in Kentucky and looked to fly down to Florida for a few days, but we found it is cheaper to fly out west. Maybe it's because it's spring break and every teen and college student heads to Florida during this month, but it would seem that distance would play some factor in the price since the cost of fuel is going up.

So we were looking at San Francisco and San Diego and although San Francisco has a richer culture (it seems) we think San Diego would be a more relaxing vacation because of the weather and beaches.

Cheers to quick weekend getaways with the one you love.
